Art Muse LA Premium’s March Issue is focused on all things desert related, specifically in Coachella Valley and Palm Springs, with an artist spotlight on Maria Lira Marques, who is from the Jequitinhonha River Valley in Brazil. (Contrary to its name, the Jequitinhonha River Valley is an arid region.) On March 2, Meditations in Glass opens at the Palm Springs Art Museum. The exhibition features artwork in the medium from the museum’s permanent collection, and we’ve highlighted one of the artists. On March 4, Desert X 2023, a biennial of site-specific installations in Coachella Valley, reveals the locations of the exhibition; each work is by an artist, architect, or collaborative. We created a spotlight for one of the architects Maria Tabassum. Since we’re on the topic, we thought you’d be interested in more information and advice on navigating Desert X.
