Join Art Muse Miami Director Ross Karlan for a virtual seminar exploring the diversity of Afro-Atlantic art. From the beginnings of Portuguese explorations around the African continent, to the transatlantic slave trade, to contemporary artists who reckon with these histories, the conversations surrounding African and African diasporic art are robust. This virtual talk is informed by, and complements two exhibitions: Afro-Atlantic Histories at LACMA, and Denzil Forrester: We Culture at the ICA Miami.
