This compelling exhibition is comprised of 75 works by women artists born in or living in what can broadly be termed Islamic societies. Many of the art works in the exhibition come from LACMA’s collection of contemporary art from the Middle East. Join Ayda Gragossian for an overview of this vast exhibition (with 75 works) and an in-depth consideration of several artists whose careers she has been following. Across generations and working in different media, the artists share a common sense of identity, expressing individual and universal concerns.

*Admission to LACMA is free for LA County residents starting at 3pm
