Join Art Muse Sophia Ballesteros for an Art Muse Academy Community Weekend Program in the Miami Design District, highlighting the area's public art and alternative spaces. While the Design District is known for its high-end shopping, top-tier commercial galleries, and renowned private collections, it is also home to a number of artist studios, independent spaces, and immersive public installations that add to the neighborhood's art experience. In this Community Weekend Program, we will visit Dale Zine — a zine shop with an in-house gallery — the studio of local artist Joyce Billet, and view some of the newer public installations, including Jillian Mayer's glass model home.
Community Weekend Programs offer an opportunity to engage locally and support the Art Muse Academy Internship Program. While this event is free, a suggested donation of $15 will support the Academy, a 501c3 nonprofit.
